Privacy Policy

How ZIPmagic Software, Inc. handles information about you when you visit zipmagic.co, buy a licence or use the ZIPmagic software.

Effective 17 October 2026

The short version

ZIPmagic runs on your computer and keeps your data there. There is no account to create, nothing is uploaded, and we do not sell or rent personal information. We hold what you give us when you buy a licence or write to us, and the ordinary server logs any website produces. That is the whole list.

1

Who we are

ZIPmagic Software, Inc. ("ZIPmagic", "we", "us") publishes the ZIPmagic software and operates the website at zipmagic.co. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at support@zipmagic.co.

2

What this policy covers

This policy applies to the zipmagic.co website, the ZIPmagic software for Windows, licence purchases made through our reseller, and any email or support conversation you have with us. It does not cover third-party websites we link to, which have their own policies.

3

Information we collect

Website

Our web server keeps standard access logs: the IP address of the request, the page requested, the date and time, the referring page and the browser type. We use these to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics profiles. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when your browser fetches a font file; Google's handling of that request is governed by Google's privacy policy.

Purchases

Licences are sold through PayPro Global, our authorised reseller and merchant of record. When you buy a licence, PayPro Global collects your name, email address, billing address and payment details under its own privacy policy and terms. We receive your name, email address, country, order reference and the licence key issued to you. We never see your full card number.

The software

ZIPmagic works entirely on your own computer. It does not upload your files, disk images, file names or file contents to us or to anyone else. At any time. Period.

Email and support

If you write to us, we keep your email address, your message and anything you attach, so that we can reply and refer back to the conversation.

4

How we use it

  • To deliver, activate and support the software you have licensed.
  • To process orders, refunds and licence transfers together with PayPro Global.
  • To answer your questions and resolve problems you report.
  • To keep the website and our licensing server secure and to detect abuse.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as keeping accounting records.

We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build profiles, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to.

5

Legal basis

Where the General Data Protection Regulation or a similar law applies, we process your information to perform our contract with you (licensing and support), to pursue our legitimate interests in running a secure website and service, to comply with legal obligations, and otherwise with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

6

Who we share it with

  • PayPro Global, who process your payment and issue your invoice as merchant of record.
  • Hosting and email providers that run our website, licensing server and mailbox on our behalf, under contracts that limit what they may do with the data.
  • Authorities, when a law, court order or similar process requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

7

How long we keep it

  • Order and licence records: for as long as your licence is valid, and afterwards for as long as accounting and tax law requires.
  • Web server logs: for as long as we are able to.
  • Email and support conversations: for as long as we are able to.
8

International transfers

We and our providers may process information in the United States. Where information is transferred out of the United States, we rely on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses approved by the relevant authority.

9

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to receive it in a portable format, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these, email support@zipmagic.co. We will answer within one month. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.

If you are a California resident: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not discriminate against anyone who exercises their privacy rights.

10

Security

Traffic between your browser, the software and our servers is encrypted in transit. Order records are held by PayPro Global on systems certified for payment processing. Archives you encrypt with ZIPmagic use 256-bit AES and a password that only you know; we never receive it and cannot recover it for you.

11

Cookies

zipmagic.co does not set cookies of its own. The checkout pages operated by PayPro Global set the cookies they need to complete your order; their cookie notice describes them.

12

Children

Our website and software are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell licence holders by email first.
